Brett Adamek

BROOKLYN, New York, United States

Brett Adamek was born in Korea and raised in the Chicago area. He came to New York in 2004 to study psychology and now works in a day school for children on the autistic spectrum.

Photography for Brett is both a means to express himself creatively and to render a persona, real or imagined, in a still image. People provide the majority of his inspiration; depth of character instigates the process of snapshot and selection.

Collected here on Border Hopping are photos from his travels abroad in the fall of 2006 through Europe and Morocco. Although he downplays his travel photography, we find it immensely inspiring.
