Elaine Tassy was born in Montclair, New Jersey in 1967. She has worked as a newspaper reporter, publicist, yoga instructor, researcher, college professor, and a cranio-sacral therapist. She is also a published short-story writer and a collage, candle and batik artist whose work has been sold and exhibited nationally and internationally. Her new book, How The Sun Lost Its Shine: A Newsroom Memoir, will be published by Hamilton Books in 2009.
Tassy wrote her essay featured on Border Hopping while teaching journalism and communications at The College of The Bahamas during the 2007-2008 academic year.
