Linda Simone

NEW YORK CITY, United States

My travel has happily all been for pleasure—England, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Canada and Mexico. The sights have sometimes awakened the muse. I live and work in New York City—also a rich treasure-trove for poetic impulse. My essays have appeared in Cezanne's Carrot, Italian Americana, Journal of the Imagination in Language Learning, The Journal News, The New York Times, and pursestories.com. Valparaiso Review published my review of poet Kevin Pilkington's work. My poems appear in numerous journals and anthologies, and have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Recent publications include poems in Assisi, Cyclamens and Swords, in the anthology, Lavanderia, and is forthcoming in the anthology, Wait a Minute: I Have to Take Off My Bra. My chapbook, Cow Tippers, won the Shadow Poetry Chapbook Competition.
